Breakfast Club
Unfortunately due to lack of numbers, the ‘child care’ element for the Breakfast Club will end on Wednesday 20th July. Therefore from September, the Breakfast Club will only be open from 8.15 to 8.45. This is a free Breakfast Club. Can I also remind you that children are not to come onto the school yard before 8.45. If your child does arrive before this time, they will be asked to attend the Breakfast Club. End of Term The school term ends on Wednesday 20th July. The children return on Monday 5th September. Year 6 Leavers Service This will be held on Tuesday 19th July at 2pm in the Youth Club. The year 6 are reminded to wear their school uniform but they are allowed to bring in a t-shirt where children and staff can sign after the service. Also, we will be taking the Year 6 children bowling at Flint Pavillon on Wednesday 20th July at 1pm. They will be back in school for 3pm. Help Needed! On Friday 15th July from 9.30, I will be going upto Ysgol y Fron and Perth y Terfyn to collect some school furniture. I have one parent, James Hughes (Mason’s dad) who has kindly volunteered or should I say pressurised to help in the afternoon. If there is anymore else who can help collect and bring items back to school, it would be truly appreciated. End of Year Reports Children’s end of year reports will be going out on Monday 11th July. Pupils from Year 2 upwards will also have their National Test results. If you would like to talk to your child’s class teacher about the report then please can you make an appointment for Monday 18th July from 3.15. Clerk Needed We are looking to appoint a clerk to the governing body with effect from 1st September 2016 or sooner if possible. The Clerk to the Governing Body is required to organise and minute 3 full governing body meetings throughout the year and potentially some sub committee meetings. The rate of pay is £50 per meeting. The clerk on occasion will be required to respond to correspondence on behalf of the governing body. If you are interested, please contact School asap. Own Clothes Day On Monday 18th July, the children can wear their own clothes. We kindly ask for a donation of £1 which will be given to the School Council to spend and buy playtime resources.
